In the past couple of weeks and several days, it has been hard to not take my eyes off the news regarding Coronavirus (COVID 19). I am sure it has been the same for you. As a leader of a company, it is challenging to continue business as usual when life outside our walls is anything but usual. We are thinking and praying for all people affected, directly and indirectly by this virus.
Sunshine State Economic Development Corporation (SEDCO) continues to be open and servicing our clients and partners needs as we move through this rather unusual time in our nation’s history. Many staff members have the ability to work remotely, which enables us to continue processing loans and working with our small business owners in the event we must close our office.
We are monitoring the situation daily and have taken the appropriate steps to protect ourselves and the clients we serve. Additionally, we are working with the SBA on Disaster Assistance in response to the Coronavirus. Meetings on the hill are happening all this week regarding specifics on the disaster relief program. You can also contact the SBA disaster assistance customer service center at 1-800-659-2955 (TTY: 1-800-877-8339).
As always, you can call or email me directly with any questions or concerns you may have.
